Well it does come from their value range, so be prepared. The shelving is quite easy to assemble, even single handed, and once up it is sturdy enough for all the bits and pieces in my garage. The issues arose from poor packaging/materials handling; the ends of most of the long supports had been damaged and I had to bend them back into shape in order to assemble each unit. Also, in several places the paint had been chipped off. A bit more care would have earned this item a better score.
Very easy to assemble, need to take some care but end up with a solid well constructed shelving unit.
Good value
I appreciate the word "value" exists in the product name, but what this really means is that the product is incredibly flimsy...so much so that at least half the parts for each unit arrived damaged in some way, damaged in transit. I was able to salvage them, mostly, and luckily they're only in a shed so I don't care so much about a lack of pristine condition in there.
I realise this reflects more on the packaging than the product, but the fact the parts are easily bent out of shape when assembling (but equally, this is useful when they arrive damaged and need bending back into an approximately straight shape!).
Even for the relatively low cost, I should have gone for a higher spec as it disappointing to bend so many parts back into shape when assembling.
Seems sturdy enough for my use now they're up but I wouldn't want to put too much on them. Even some of the MDF shelves arrived damaged and they're also not the thickest/sturdiest.
I certainly wouldn't recommend for any professional use.
Purchased 2 lots of these shelves for our shed and they are perfect. They hold all our camping gear and more. Good value, easy to put together no need for screws, the shelves themselves just sit in place without being secured, that's why I gave 4 stars.
I love these shelves they were so easy to build my 9 year old grandson could have built them , they are light weight but strong and perfect for what I wanted .
Very easy to assemble. Pretty rigid when complete. Perfect for domestic lofts, garages, sheds etc. Would recommend.
Had issue with first delivery with damage from courier but sorted speedily and arrived first thing next day. BIGDUG very good customer service.
This is just basic flimsy racking, nothing special about it at all. But it didn't cost much and it's fine for what I wanted so I've no complaints.
The first pack of this that I ordered turned up badly damaged - most of the sections were bent and the chipboard shelves had the corners broken off. I sent an email to BIGDUG describing the problem and they replaced the whole thing straight away without any quibbles. I wouldn't really recommend this product, but I was very impressed by BIGDUG's customer service.

Shelves excellent. When building them found a small part to be missing. Called customer service. Replacement part arrived by courier next day. Need I say more!

i have had a number of these shelving units over the past four years and found that they suited my garage needs. bit fiddly to put together and really needs two people.once height of shelves is decided then slots need easing
fast delivery, very easy to assemble. not as cheap as you think by the time you add delivery but as i stay miles from any store that would sell this type of thing it would cost me about the same if i had to drive for it. very pleased with it.
Bought these for our new shed and they fit perfectly, with the shelves taking everything we want. Some of the hardboard shelves do not fit as snug as we would like (slightly warped), but once filled you do not notice any difference.
